Recently, I've been having some serious fun re-imagining a supernatural world I initially created years ago. It has been some serious work --I can't lie about that-- but nothing feels quite as rewarding as when what was one a mess begins to shape up!
One of the major problems that I had in the past was an abundance of influence.
I read a lot of supernatural/fantasy books, and I often get ideas when I read. Still, in the past I wasn't as careful to balance the influence with my own creative notions.
There were a lot of decisions to make, coming back to a world I left alone for years.
I've answered some of those questions now and set aside others. Still, I like the world I'm building and the way it's shaping.
I'll share more when It comes around!
Ever yours,
~Katie~

There were a lot of decisions to make, coming back to a world I left alone for years.
- How would I create something original but still reflect back on the influences I adored?
- How could I create something different from everything else out there?
- Where were the boundaries?
- What was the setting?
I've answered some of those questions now and set aside others. Still, I like the world I'm building and the way it's shaping.
