Somethings are too important to let them be named by chance...
Naming a website can be a difficult decision.
It has to fit in the header but it also has to sum up the site as a whole and appeal to others.
So, for my first blog post, I thought I would let you know where this site's name came from.

So, for my first blog post, I thought I would let you know where this site's name came from.
I wrote a poem about five months about creating art called "Open Your Vein", but right off the bat, I knew that it probably wasn't a good choice, since the stanzas I would have been working with includes phrases like "open your vein", "life's ink", "spill your soul", and "life's paint". Ultimately, the piece crescendos into my favorite lines:
"Open your vein and bleed:
that is what we call art, after all."
Though the image is well displayed, it's a little startling.
So I looked to another poem that I'd written around that time entitled "Love Is". I had only to look at the first stanza to discover a memorable title:
"Lovers of men,
Lovers of art.
Lovers of craft,
Lovers of heart."
And I am nothing if I am not a lover of words.
